Message from the Director of the
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you, our visitors and patrons, to the Bad Axe Public Library. My name is Mimi Herrington, and I was recently appointed to the position of Library Director after the retirement of Marilyn Berry, who served the library for the past 28 years. Born and raised in Bad Axe, I have returned home after living away for a number of years. Upon graduating from the University of Michigan, I went on to earn a law degree from Indiana University. I worked in environmental law in Chicago and then for General Electric in its Corporate Environmental Program in Connecticut. For the past five years, I have taught middle school in the Chicago Public School system. I am excited to be back in Bad Axe and look forward to the challenge of providing the same level of service and high quality resources that this library has enjoyed under Marilyn's leadership.
